When you think of the way you ate when you were a kid, I bet there are a lot of foods you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole and now it’s probably one of your favourite foods. Am I right? What can you think of? I remember so many dishes I didn’t want to eat. I was spoilt or lucky, however you want to look at it but my Dad used to cook me some separate meals. Now my taste buds have changed and I think my taste buds are thanking me for it! Foods like salmon are now my all time favourite foods. This is a type of fish can be eaten without adding to much other flavours and the colour is such a deep rich orange. Love it.
I usually go to the market and choose a few pieces and then store them in the freezer. Then I’ll just take them out the night before and leave them in the fridge for when I get home from work. I usually add some lemon and salt and bake them in the oven for 15 mins or so. I don’t like it raw nor do I like it overcooked so I’ve finally worked on the timing and temperature and got it right. You also need to consider the size of the pieces you are baking. I’ve recently started using tahini, which is just ground sesame seeds, so I’ve been making a delicious sauce to give the dish a extra burst of flavour. You iwill go back for more. There are so many ways to cook salmon. My Dad has taught me other delicious salmon recipes, so these will be on the blog soon too.
